Brazil Confederation of beach soccer (CBBS) announced new coach name of Brazil national team on Friday. It became the 34-year-old Brazilian specialist, a native of Pernambuco, Gustavo Zlokkovik Silva replaced Alexandre Soares, who left his post in October after the defeat of Russia in the World Cup final in Ravenna.
The "yellow-green"s new coach has an extensive international experience as a coach of beach soccer. Guga in different years, led teams of Portugal, Bahrain, and Azerbaijan, and also worked with the Russian team at one stage of the Euroleague in 2005 at a time when its composition were the "stars" of the Russian football Bridge, Karpin, Pisarev and others. Zlokkovik’s most significant achievements can be noted Portuguese national team victory in Mundialito tournament and Euroleague in 2003, Bahrain team winning first in Asia in 2006, and the third place of Azerbaijan team in European Cup home. In addition, he has experience with world teams at the annual gala match against Brazil, as well as regular participation as an instructor in coaching seminars FIFA conducted by the organization around the world.
The main objective of the new coach of quadruple world champion will be the preparation of combat-ready team for the World Cup in 2013. However this week Zlokkovik’s team will take part at the Intercontinental Cup in Dubai, where Brazil will face the team of Oman, Mexico and Switzerland. In addition, after these competitions Brazilians will play at the South American Beach Games in Ecuador (2-12 December) and "Copa Lagos" tournament in Nigeria (December 16-18).
