There had been a historic event on the scale of Brazil's beach soccer last week in Rio de Janeiro. 25 clubs from 13 states founded the Brazilian Beach Soccer League (LBBS). At a conference held with the President of the Confederation of Brazilian beach soccer (CBBS) Fabio Spironelli and presidents of beach football federations of the several States, was elected head of the new organization - Marcelo Vargas. Founders of LBBS thought to organize the world's strongest national club competition in beach soccer. Presence in its ranks such remarkable brands as "Flamengo", "Konitnias", "Santos" will help popularize Beach Soccer and attract hundreds of thousands fans of this game.
It is worth noting that the first Cup of Brazilian clubs, held this year in the capital of the Amazon city Manaus, collected a record audience for beach soccer fans. "Flamengo" and "Vasco da Gama" clubs match, which took place at the local football stadium, gathered 32 000 spectators.
