According to Brazilian «Jogo Extra» edition, one of the most famous Brazilian clubs “Flamengo” FC creates beach soccer club. It should be noted that World Championship among beach soccer clubs could be held in May, 2010, and “Flamengo” FC is expected to participate at the mentioned championship. Names of the several footballers, to be involved to the mentioned team, are already known: repeated world cup winners Juninho, Jorginho, Nenem and Robertinho (they stopped their national team career in 2006) as well as Buru and Brunu Xavier. It should be noted that “Flamengo” FC became the second Brazilian top club to create a beach soccer team after “Vasco da Gama”. 

As regards the World Championship among beach soccer clubs, it should be noted that Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW), Brazilian Beach Soccer Confederation and its partner Koch Tavares are the main active supporters of this idea. “Sporting” from Portugal, “Barcelona” from Spain and “Milan” from Italy are considering the participation at the mentioned pilot project.
