A beach soccer tournament was held in Punta-del-Este town (Uruguay), situated in 150 km distance from the capital Montevideo. It should be noted that 7 national selections (Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay – Group A; Uruguay, Columbia, Venezuela and Ecuador – Group B) participated at the mentioned competition which was held within the framework of the 1^st South American Beach Games. Brazil, which showed very strong and certain game, finished first at the 5-days competition.
