The second edition of the South American Beach Games, organized by the South American Sports Organization (ODESUR), will take place in the city of Manta, Ecuador from December 2 to 11. In El Murcielago beach will take place volleyball, handball, football, rugby, triathlon, sailing, swimming, and other "beach" disciplines, which will be attended by more than a thousand athletes from ten countries.
There will be 8 beach soccer teams which take part in tournament: Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Ecuador.
The third South American Beach Games capital has been Venezuela by ODESUR, which will hold another beach festival in 2013.
